This is an exciting opportunity to serve the City of Healdsburg in an impactful and meaningful way. This position will perform professional public communication duties to facilitate Citywide activities involving the coordination and dissemination of information to the public and media, as well as to develop methods and techniques to ensure that the development and distribution of information to the community is clear, accurate and comprehensive. The incumbent will develop methods and techniques for accomplishing improved communication between the general community; special, targeted audiences; the media; and the City. This role will develop and utilize communication strategies to inform and promote City activities, both internally and externally, including print, Website, Intranet, and social media

The salary range of the Public Information and Community Outreach Coordinator is $6,672.10 to $8,109.98 per month.

Public Information and Community Outreach Coordinator Overview

To perform professional public communication duties to facilitate Citywide activities involving the coordination and dissemination of information to the public and media; to develop methods and techniques for accomplishing improved communication between the general community, special, targeted audiences, the media and the City; to serve as the City’s Public Information Officer; and to provide professional level support to the City Manager.

Experience of four years of responsible professional public communications, media relations, public relations or content-marketing experience including the development and implementation of communication and marketing programs. Training equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or a related field.

Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
