								<description>Marion, Iowa,  The City of Marion, Iowa (population approx. 40,000) is seeking to hire a full-time City Manager. 
 The City Manager is a professional position that serves at the direction of the City Council and is the chief executive and administrative officer of the City.&#xa0; This position provides strategic vision, operational, and administrative direction based off policies established by the City Council. The City Manager is an effective policy executive who acquires and utilizes local and regional resources to resolve community problems and capitalize on community opportunities. The City Manager leads the Executive Leadership team providing clear expectations, direction, support, and accountability.

 Extensive knowledge of modern principles and practices of urban administration and management. 
 Must have or be able to obtain a valid Iowa driver&#8217;s license.</description>
