The City Manager is the City’s Chief Operations Officer and is appointed by the Assembly. Under the Assembly’s direction and authority, the City Manager will supervise the City’s administrative and day-to-day activities. Duties include preparing and monitoring the annual budget and supervision of all department directors. Under direction of the City and Borough Assembly, this position serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Municipality and head of the Administration Department.  The City Manager position requires the ability to actively implement policy directives by working independently and coordinating with a variety of departments, agencies and the public within the City and Borough of Juneau and the State of Alaska.Working HoursT
