Amerine Eye Care (AEC) is seeking a dedicated Optometric Physician who will deliver effective primary eyecare with a sustained passion for excellence and the highest quality of patient care.
First, choosing a place to PRACTICE YOUR PROFESSION is important!
Dr. Perry Amerine, sole owner of Amerine Eye Care, is a Diplomat of the American Board of Optometry; past Arkansas Optometric Association President; current member, Arkansas State Board of Health; and past Arkansas OD of the Year. He is an energetic leader with a passion for integrity, service above self, and excellence.
Amerine Eye Care's mission is to provide the highest quality eye care available to patients in an effective, caring and concerned manner. The AEC staff is highly trained, CPO certified, friendly and devoted to eye care. As a professional team, the doctors and staff work together to develop office policies that insure delivery of the highest quality of eye care. Superb practice management techniques are in place utilizing three lanes of equipment with integrated Zeiss retinal photography, Humphry Visual Fields, and Heidelberg OCT testing capabilities.
As an Advanced Procedure Eye Care Certified Practitioner at Amerine Eye Care, the Optometric Physician removes benign skin lesions and preforms YAG and SLT procedures using a 2021 Nidek YC-200 laser. As a Primary Eye Care practitioner, the AEC Optometric Physician assesses, diagnoses and treats patients with eye diseases, prescribes oral and topical medications to treat ocular conditions, and removes superficial foreign bodies using appropriate topical anesthetics and medications.
Secondly, choosing a place to LIVE is important!
The Little Rock area is hilly, green and beautiful with a metropolitan population of around 256,000. It is located on the Arkansas River among the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. Little Rock is the center of Arkansas, housing the state government as well as numerous museums (one of which is President Bill Clinton's Presidential Library), art galleries, musical and sports venues, theaters, shopping areas, churches, and excellent restaurants. The River Market Area downtown is thriving and West Little Rock is growing. In addition, the hiking and biking trails, hunting and fishing opportunities, and water sports venues are claimed to be some of the best in the nation. Little Rock is a great place to live!
This practice opportunity offers the optometrist an excellent chance to practice full scope primary eye care and to enhance personal management ability, business knowledge, and leadership skills in a highly successful and growing private practice.
