The City of Santa Monica’s Human Services Division (HSD) is seeking an expert in data analytics to collect, monitor, and analyze participant demographics and outcomes for the City’s human service programs. The Data Science Administrator (DSA) will lead HSD’s efforts to optimize data systems and support open data and performance management initiatives. The DSA will also provide continuing guidance to HSD staff and agency partners and ensure that data processes utilize best practices and that data resources deliver meaningful, actionable information to guide decisions.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Human Services or a closely related field .
Three years of recent, paid, progressively responsible work experience in data analytics, information technology, technology project management, data system design and support.
Experience in the public sector or a relevant academic or research institution is preferred.
